Reviews
????? UC Browser is known for its speed and dependability. The browser uses high-end compression technology rendered by a server to provide faster browsing and less data usage. The UC Browser mobile web experience also delivers high-performance rendering with smooth animation capabilities for amazing visuals and excellent navigation. Since the browser has gone through several upgrades and continuously improves on performance, this is one mobile browser that almost never fails to disappoint its users. – About.com
????? We’ve tried lots of browsers for Android and we’ve to admit that there are really good ones. However, first time we tried UC Browser we felt something different. It’s like the others wouldn’t have not fully grasped the essence of what a mobile browser should be. UC Browser did. This feeling of toying with truly native mobile browser makes the difference, and makes us understand that million of downloads (and 300 million users around the World). – AppsZoom.com
????? Though smartphones and tablets are meant to be used with simple gestures, both Google and Apple – and lots of developers – sadly overlook how other gestures (like with two fingers) can be used to aid productivity. So it’s good to see that the popular UC Browser has included some for Android tablet users. I tested it out on my Nexus 7, and it works very well. It saves making the two taps needed to hit the tab switcher and select the desired tab in Chrome for Android. Plus, UC Browser HD starts up faster for me than Chrome. – TechInAsia.com

GET FREE US PHONE NUMBERS CREATE GOOGLE VOICE

Sabtu, 03 September 2016

Online phone numbers are very useful today not for just free VoIP Calls or Free texts but these days they’re also used for creating Phone verified accounts (PVAs) of different useful services such as Google voice, YouTube, Facebook, Craigslist, and many others. How to Get US Numbers to create PVAs and Google Voice AccountPreviously Services Like Pinger or Textfree, was used for phone verification and creating Google voice accounts.but they no longer work today and therefor instead of US Numbers many websites are actually selling PVAs and they are very expensive.

Tutorial:Here is my new method to get free US numbers and Creating Google voice account This method is not complicated as Using Ipkall or other SIP Phone NumbersThe method consists on very easy 3 StepsRequirements:*.A smartphone or Tablet*.A PC or Laptop (Optional > this will make process a much easy)Step 1)*.Download HeyWire app from PlayStore.

*.Register to get Free US numberThis Number can be used To verify Gmailaccount but This is not a safe method of creating PVAsand Google voice account cannot be created using HeyWireStep 2)*.Create an account on SendHub by using HeyWire Number.

*.You will receive a verification code on your HeyWire number Use that code to Verify SendHub accountand after Verification You will Get another US numberHeyWire is Very good service for Receiving or Sending Free Texts, Making free Calls to US Or Canadian Number andalso Very good for Receiving Calls Using SendHub appSendHub app receives Voice Calls from Google Very well and therefor we can useit for creating Google voice Account So download and Install SendHub app and log into your SendHub accountStep 3)To create a Google voice Account you need to change your IP address.

and You can do it By using Spotflux liteChrome extension or By using Free VPN softwareslike HotspotShield or Spotflux for PC*
Best VPN or IP changer is zenmate.
.After changing your IP Address Sign upfor Gmail account using SendHub Number and for verification Chose Voice call option.Note: make sure that the SendHub tab ofbrowser is closed and you’re logged into your SendHub account on your smartphone or tablet*.Click Call me nowYou will receive your verification Code In form of a Voice Call from Google*.After Gmail account verification go to google.com/voice and request for a new number using your SendHub number*.For verification click Call me now, and once again you will receive a voice call from Google but this time you have to enter the two digit verification code during the call*.After verification you can search and select your Google voice NumberThat’s it! Google Voice Account has been successfully Created.
Note: Unlike Textfree (which doesn’t work now) Heywire Number can be Created Just One time.
so you can use heywire to create just one sendhub account and one Google voice account. But if you are interested in Getting more Google voice accounts and SendHub Numbers to create PVAs without doing all that work again and again there is a very cheap service out there.Get 5 Google Voice accounts and 5 SendHub AccountsorGet 10 HeyWire Numbers and Create 10 SendHub and 10 Google Voice Numbers with these 10 HeyWire Numbers Easily Using Above Method and get total 30 USA Numbers for verify Any service available online.. Great Service eh!

MicroApps from The Guardian and Google AppEngine Both ready for business

Jumat, 14 Maret 2014

0 komentar

This post is another entry in our on-going series of guest posts from App Engine developers. Today we have the Guardian reporting in on how theyre using App Engine as part of their Open Platform.

There has been a lot of debate recently about the future of news online, some people like The Times of London and New York Times think paywalls are the answer, others are not so sure. At The Guardian we have a clear alternative and vision, we call it mutualisation. Its all about reducing the barriers between our journalists and readers and between our organisation and our partners. For software developers and online businesses we have a product sitting just in this space which we call the Open Platform.

The Open Platform has been in beta for the last year and now, today it is officially "Open for Business". Open for developers to take and co-monetize our content with us, building new applications for distributing and consuming news. It is also open for partners to build new experiences which blend content from The Guardian and their own functionality and in some cases brands into the heart of The Guardians award winning website.

Today were launching a brand new product and framework called MicroApps which the diagram above describes. However, just as Google dogfoods its new products before launch, so do we, and we wanted to share some of the things weve been building as MicroApps using Google AppEngine for the storage and application development part.

With 36 million unique and very engaged readers, everything we make has to scale, which is why AppEngine is ideal. With its highly scalable architecture and features such as task queues, built for creating loosely coupled apps, and memcache, AppEngine makes an excellent companion platform for MicroApps in which the apps can run anywhere in the cloud. The examples presented here range from new ways to find content which others are finding exciting or interesting, to live responses to the TV debates to ways to bring together all of the tweets of our journalists on specific subjects.

Zeitgeist

Many people are interested in what is hot in the news and what is trending. We think this is interesting, but something a bit more interesting is in the things which are unexpectedly popular. Dan Catt used AppEngine to pull together signals from sources such as OneRiot, Twitter, comments in our system and our own internal stats to create an index of Zeitgeisty-ness. For the full "science bit" please see this overview article. Were using AppEngine for the storage and processing of a lot of data, with several task queues in play to create a page which responds over time during the current day showing you what peoples attention think is the most interesting content. At the end of the day these are all archived and available so you can see what the Zeitgeist was on a particular day. The MicroApp framework allows us to host all of the application on AppEngine and display it in the network pages as if it were coming out of the content management system. This allows us to build data heavy applications using the economy of scale of cloud computing platforms while not affecting the scalability of the core site. If you want to see exactly how we made Zeitgeist, Dan talks about it here.

Election Debate Live Poll

There was recently a general election in the UK and for the first time in the UK there were a series of debates about the party platforms from the leaders of the three main parties. We felt that it would be good to capture the mood of the nation by allowing people to simply click a "+" or a "-" as to whether they liked or disliked what a leader said. This was then to be displayed as a sentiment "worm" alongside the video. Michael Brunton Spall created an AppEngine app which allowed us to scale rapidly and sustainably for the duration of the debates. At one point in time in the second debate the AJAX calls from the buttons were peaking at around 750 requests per second with an average of 454 requests per second. In total over the hour and a half of the debate over 2.7 million requests were made on the AJAX voting services which made heavy use of memcache and sharded counters. This sort of temporary load would have required a vast amount of additional temporary infrastructure for us and planning. AppEngine made that simple.

Twitter Collation

Just before The Edinburgh Festival, a really rather huge arts festival in the UK, we had a hackday and Stephen Abbott made a suggestion for something that it would be nice to see was an app that would allow the tweets about the festival of a collection of journalists and performers we trusted to be pulled together in one stream. This would need a double white list to be created, one where only if they were in the collection and they mentioned the keyword would your tweet make it into the stream. This is clearly to avoid spam and unwanted messages and to filter out journalists from talking about what theyd had for breakfast (unless it was festival related). In 24 hours using AppEngine Chris Thorpe had built a machine which fanned out queries from regular cron job which hauled in the stream of each journalist and performer (each in a single task queue action) and then processed each tweet asynchronously (again each in a single task queue action). The app performed well and was then industrialized as a MicroApp by Michael Brunton Spall and Lisa van Gelder and has been used throughout the general election and to bring together tweets from journalists within sections. Were now following and processing the streams of a large number of our journalists and are creating views of those streams with multiple watched keywords. The view of the stream can then be inserted into pages just like the one below using AppEngine and our MicroApp framework with memcache used to keep the response time fast.

Random Guardian

A flippant comment, in a serious question from Chris Thorpe to Clay Shirky, when he visited us recently at The Guardian, about where the new serendipity was in news, contained the phrase "should we just build Chatroulette for news?" He said that yes, we should definitely do that and in about 2 hours and using the beta of our new APIs, Daniel Vydra had done just that in AppEngine. The application has been hugely successful at introducing people to parts of the site theyve never visited before and has led to people being mildly addicted to discovering things they never knew they needed to know, just at the click of a button. Were open sourcing the code for it very soon, so you too can start experimenting.

The MicroApp platform wouldnt exist without the hard work and brilliance of a team including Matthew Wall, Matt McAlister, Stephen Dunn, Mike Bracken, Graham Tackley, Stephen Wells and Simon Willison. Were now open for business and to prove it were holding a hackday where were making some very rapid prototypes for media agencies. Who knows, they may like them so much as concepts they commission them and well have to put them into production. Thatll be fine for us, with the tools we use and the platform we have we know we have an environment to scale.

Kaplan builds online education platform KAPx with Google App Engine

Rabu, 12 Maret 2014

0 komentar
Todays guest post is from Charlie Ward, VP of Platform Development at Kaplan Inc., a global educational services company that operates in 170 countries and serves one million students annually. Charlie describes why Kaplan chose Google App Engine as the foundation for a scalable, flexible, and robust education platform that allows anyone to easily deliver learning content in both live and recorded formats.

The Drivers for Change

Ongoing disruptions in the Higher Education space -- including open courses, free content, regulatory pressures and protests over the increasing cost of education -- have spurred students to look for alternative paths to achieving their education and career goals and have driven institutions to look for innovative ways to lower the cost of education.

In response, Kaplan launched the KAPx initiative, whose original objective was to develop a scalable and robust platform for delivering content effectively to large audiences, using only low-cost and open components. Initial prototypes relied on traditional development technologies or required significant investments in infrastructure. When developers began to load-test these prototypes, the team recognized that Google App Engine could scale faster and further than the other products being used. So the decision was made to port the whole thing to Google App Engine.

First impressions with Google App Engine

Our initial introduction to Google App Engine was a real-time commenting service that we designed around the Channel API. While load testing our prototypes, we immediately saw that Google App Engine could scale faster and further than the rest of our solution. At that point we decided to port the entire application to the Google App Engine platform.

Using HTML templates, the NoSQL datastore, and memcache for dynamic web content, three engineers with zero python experience were able to port the application and go from prototype to production in just three weeks. The team also leveraged task queues to manage message distribution and the channel API for real-time message delivery. It was App Engine’s tight integration of these components and associated Python libraries that simplified typically tedious tasks and allowed us to flatten out the learning curve.

Adding on Google Hangouts & Google Apps

With Google App Engine powering the scalable foundation for KAPx, we leveraged Google Hangouts on Air for live streaming video and built a Hangouts App for the presenter to interact with participants. We also turned to Google Apps -- Docs, Presentations, and Drawings -- and the Google Drive Picker API to allow the presenter to select, share, and incorporate lecture materials into the live experience

App Engine provided us with the tools to rapidly go from concept to production at lightning speed, without the overhead of managing a traditional infrastructure or the need to wire up disparate technologies. After starting out with live lecture delivery on KAPx, the flexibility and ease of development on Google App Engine has allowed us to expand quickly, tackling structured learning with our first set of open courses for Kaplan University and a completely new online institution, Mount Washington College.

Tips for getting started with Google App Engine

  1. There are many excellent examples of App Engine solutions in the GoogleCloudPlatform repository on GitHub to get you started.

  2. Use webapp2 and the jinja2 template engine for serving up content unless you need something heavier. This lightweight but flexible combination is simple to use and provides an easy way to deliver MVC style HTML templates as well as raw data for RESTful APIs.

  3. Use the NDB datastore libraries to get memcache for free. NDB was experimental when we first launched our platform, so we went with GAE’s DB datastore having to write our own handlers for front loading DB queries with memcache. With NDB, this is provided for you, dramatically improving performance and shortening development time.

  4. Plan ahead if you are going to need to aggregate data (join, counts, etc). Operations that you would typically rely on in a relational database (joins, groupings and aggregate functions) are not as straightforward when working with the NoSQL DB or NDB datastore. You’ll want to plan out your models with the appropriate keys / properties to support aggregation in code foregoing joins and grouping when possible.

  5. When relying heavily on the built in datastore and memcache implementations, you’ll want to understand their upper limits and design around them. There are excellent articles available on eventual consistency, sharding data, reducing datastore contention, async task queues, and MapReduce in the developers.google.com/appengine site that can provide you with techniques to work within the boundries of service quotas and the constraints of a highly scalable environment.

  6. Invest time upfront to set up automated extracts of your log data to Google BigQuery on a regular basis. This will pay huge dividends the first time you need to track down a bug in production, as the dashboard tools out of the box are cumbersome to work with at scale.

  7. Use the --datastore_consistency_policy=random option on dev_appserver.py when developing locally to identify potential problems with delayed datastore writes before deploying.

Ford CTO Google auto alliance a step forward even if were not joining

Minggu, 02 Maret 2014

0 komentar
At CES, weve seen new, competing smart-car "standards" announced, and multiple manufacturers tying their data-enabled cars to specific carriers. Ford CTO Paul Mascarenas shares his thoughts on these developments -- and they might surprise you.

Paul Mascarenas has been CTO at Ford for over three years now. Compared to the long history of the automobile thats barely a blip, yet these past three years have seen major advancements in the sorts of technology installed and offered inside a modern car. Many manufacturers have added more intelligence to their cars since 2010 than they did in the 10 years previous.

Not Ford. That isnt to say that the company hasnt made huge progress over the past three years, as it surely has, but the company was well ahead of the curve when it introduced Sync in 2007. While other manufacturers have had some catching up to do with their smart cars, Ford seems to be focusing on filling in the blanks.

At this years International CES the company knocked out a few more, rolling out Sync AppLink capability to 3.4 million cars -- though sadly the service, which allows smartphone apps to talk directly to the car, still isnt compatible with the latest MyFord Touch-equipped vehicles. This update also enhances AppLink functionality on newer cars, allowing smartphone apps to read key data from the car, things like speed and fuel consumption.
(Credit: Sarah Tew/CNET)

This will, in theory, greatly extend the functionality of these apps and Ford hopes this, plus a coder-focused conference this summer, will woo more app developers to support the companys cars. By extension, theyd be supporting the nascent Smart Device Link API, which the Blue Oval has positioned as an industry standard. (A standard strengthened by Fords recent acquisition of Livio). However, its far from the only standard out there, and at this years CES a few more were thrown on the pile.

Far and away the most talked about of these fledgling interfaces came from Google. The Open Auto Alliance (or OAA) is "committed to bringing the Android platform to cars starting in 2014," and while exactly what that means remains unclear, its readily apparent that Ford is not among the initial members of this group (which currently includes GM, Audi, Honda, and Hyundai).

From the outside, this certainly looks like a competing option to Fords Smart Device Link, but Mascarenas isnt bothered. "I dont think in any way its frustrating. If anything its good for the industry. It avoids fragmentation and takes complexity out of things. Just like were promoting AppLink as an industry standard it takes complexity out for the developers...Were very happy with what were doing, with our work with the Livio guys, but were open to work with others as well."

GM signing on to the OAA means that one company offers at least three separate app platforms, a situation that must give its own developers headaches, never mind those on the outside.

The areas of smartphone connectivity and smart cars are, you see, still so rough that any attempt at standardization actually managing to bring multiple manufacturers together is a step forward. Thats despite some of these steps creating some interesting internal conflict. General Motors, for example, already relies on Livios API for its Spark and just launched its own Connected by OnStar initiative for HTML5-based in-car apps. GM signing on to the OAA means that one company offers at least three separate app platforms, a situation that must give its own developers headaches, never mind those on the outside.

AH Primetime What We Expect From Google and Android in 2014

Rabu, 12 Februari 2014

0 komentar

google-campus-building2013 was a phenomenal year for Android. The phablet space absolutely exploded. LG and Samsung continue to battle head to head in the 5-inch display (and larger) arena. Google Glass progressed to the point that basically anyone with an extra $1500 can get in on the Explorer program. Android also is running on smartwatches and is powering several gaming platforms. Those trends will continue on the same path, but what can we really expect from Google and Android in 2014? Let’s take a look.

Starting with the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next week, we’ll begin to see 2014 Android devices pop up. There will be a whole slew of new Android tablets and smartwatches running Android. There are several phones rumored to be announced around CES and Mobile World Congress in February, too. Smartphone manufacturers have moved to announcing big new phones at their own events. By skipping the noise of CES and MWC, manufacturers hope to keep all of the attention of a big announcement for themselves. This will undoubtedly continue in 2014, although we may see changes from Google themselves in how and where they announce new products and services. Almost all major device announcements will happen at OEM specific events throughout 2014.

Google I/O

Google I/O was the venue Google chose to announce the first Nexus 7 tablet, alongside the Nexus Q. Nexus device announcements have generally been scattered throughout the year, with Nexus smartphone announcements coming in the fall. I/O has usually been the place that Google chooses to announce new Android OS versions, although they rolled out Android 4.4 KitKat unceremoniously in October of 2013. I/O 2013 was not really about Android, but focused mainly on Chrome and Chrome OS. I expect that Google gets back to basics at I/O in 2014 and announces the next version of Android there. We’ll continue to see Android fragmentation decrease as Google moves more of Android’s core apps to the Play Store. Android OS updates will continue to be incremental, like the KitKat update. Android is reaching mature platform status and doesn’t need major overhauls like it did in its early days. What I hope to see is more convergence between Chrome, Chrome OS, and Android. Even products like Chromecast and Google TV would be more compelling to consumers if one were rolled into the other. We’ve been promised Chromecast support for the Google TV platform already, but it hasn’t officially happened yet.

Google Play Edition Devices

2013 brought with it the unveiling of a new category of Android devices: Google Play Edition smartphones and tablets. GPE phones from Samsung (S4) and HTC (One) were released earlier this year, and then surprise GPE devices in the form of the Sony Xperia Z Ultra and the LG G Pad 8.3 were dropped on the Play Store earlier this month. What this tells us is that Google and their OEM partners are listening to what consumers want. There is a small but loud contingent of Android users that want hardware options, but don’t want to deal with manufacturer skins. We want stock Android, and we are going to get it. These GPE variants of popular OEM handsets means that we can get the high-end hardware we want, running the flavor of Android we want. These GPE devices get updated more quickly than carrier branded devices, but the trade-off is higher up-front costs. In 2014, expect to see even more Google Play edition smartphones and tablets. Most flagship OEM devices will also be available with a GPE variant.

We’ll also see new Nexus smartphones and tablets, but the Nexus line will take on an even more developer-oriented focus. Google will offload more of its consumer-focused devices and features to Motorola, and steer the Nexus line more towards developers. The Nexus line basically seems like a way for Google to get OEMs to make devices for its employees, and the rest of us just happen to benefit. Regular consumers want ease-of-use, good battery life, and good cameras on their smartphones. The Moto X offers two of those three things. I think Google will finally figure out how to put an excellent camera on an Android smartphone this year. The Nexus 5 traded an excellent camera and really great battery life for lower cost. I expect that this year’s Nexus devices will continue the trend.

Beyond Smartphones And Tablets

The focus on wearables has definitely increased this year, and Android will be at the forefront of this in 2014. Samsung will build a better watch than the Galaxy Gear. Sony will iterate on their current offerings, as will Motorola. HTC and LG are expected to jump into the smartwatch game, too, all with Android-based options. Smartwatches are still working through some growing pains. 2014 should bring with it several really compelling watch options, instead of the limited, half-working watches available today. We will also see more NFC bracelets and rings that work as notification devices. A majority of these will pop up on Kickstarter, so be on the lookout if you’re in the market for one of those.

Google Glass is edging ever closer to a public release, but consumers are still wary of Glass. Lawmakers will struggle to figure out how to address the problem of wearing Glass while driving, and address privacy concerns as well.

Android-based cameras like the Samsung Galaxy Camera will fade into oblivion as smartphone cameras improve. We don’t want to carry multiple devices. OEMs, and Google, need to address the issue of sub-par camera experiences on their smartphones. The stock Android Camera app needs an overhaul as well, but Google may just leave this area to manufacturers and to its own Motorola division.

Mobile gaming on Android will improve, although stand-alone devices like the Ouya console will continue to struggle. Mobile gaming has had to adjust for touch screens and the lack of physical buttons. Most mobile games don’t lend themselves well to physical controllers. Handheld devices like the Nvidia Shield and Moga controllers will remain viable options for hardcore Android gamers, and will only get better as companies figure things out.

Android is even being built into cars.

Cost Factor

Overall, we’re going to see a continuing decrease in the cost of Android devices in 2014. Consumers are becoming wise to the tricks of major wireless carriers when it comes to device subsidies and contracts. No one wants to sign two years (or more) of their life away for a phone that will be out of date in 12-18 months. As Google continues to offer Nexus devices for less than $400, and Motorola reaches into new territories with the inexpensive Moto G, device costs will plummet. $400-500 for a high-end device will become the norm. Wireless carriers will buy into this because it means they won’t have to front the cost of phones for consumers anymore. There will still be options to purchase $199 Android smartphones with two-year contracts, but this will simply be one of several options instead of the only real choice. It’s already happening. Expect that trend to continue in 2014 as well.

Overall improvements to hardware with chipset optimizations and battery life improvements will continue, as we expect they would. Those aren’t necessarily specific to Android but the platform will certainly benefit. With a focus on decreasing costs to consumers, emerging markets, and wearable technology like Glass and smartwatches, 2014 is shaping up to be a big year for Android. What are you most excited about for Android in 2014?

US states eyeing laws to ban Google Glass while driving

Sparsely populated Wyoming, whose natural beauty draws tourists from around the globe, is among a small number of U.S. states eyeing a ban on the use of wearable computers while driving, a move that appears to target Google Glass.

Wyoming state Senator Floyd Esquibel, a Democrat who crafted the bill to ban such devices behind the wheel, said he wanted to ensure safeguards are in place before the technology premiered by Google - a tiny computer mounted to an eyeglass frame - is widely available.

"Common sense would tell you that you really dont need to look at a little computer while driving, that it endangers you, your passengers and other drivers," he said of the bill he introduced this month. The legislature will convene to consider new bills in February.

Wyoming is among at least seven U.S. states eyeing restrictions on the technology over concerns that drivers wearing Google Glass may pay more attention to their email or other online endeavors than the road.

Other states considering measures that would ban use of wearable computers while driving are Delaware, Illinois, Missouri, New Jersey, New York and West Virginia, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.

Google Glass, which projects a small screen above a corner of a wearers eye, is expected to become a major catalyst for what many believe to be the next big trend in mobile, wearable computing devices.

But in a high-profile California case that raised new questions about distracted driving, one of thousands of people testing Google Glass was ticketed for wearing the device while driving after being stopped for speeding in October.

Cecilia Abadie later got her ticket, for using a "visual" monitor in her car while driving, thrown out because of a lack of proof the device was operating at the time. Her speeding ticket was also dismissed.

Distracted driving

The case nevertheless renewed debate about distracted driving, which was linked to car crashes that caused injuries to an estimated 421,000 people in the United States in 2012, up 9 percent from 2011, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Esquibel, member of a state Senate transportation panel, successfully pushed in 2010 for Wyoming to outlaw driver texting, which is already banned in most states. Some states also ban the use of handheld mobile phones while driving.

He said the proposed ban on the use of wearable computers while driving faces an uncertain fate in a Republican-led legislature in a state known for its ambivalence toward government regulations.

In information about Glass posted online by Google, the company advises those engaged in field tests - dubbed Explorers - to abide by state laws that limit use of mobile devices while driving.

"Above all, even when youre following the law, dont hurt yourself or others by failing to pay attention to the road," the company says.

Asked Wednesday about legislation restricting use of devices like Glass, Google said Explorers should use the device responsibly and put safety first: "Glass is built to connect you more with the world around you, not distract you from it."

U.S. travel group AAA said it has "serious concerns about the safety elements of these technologies" on the road.

"Our feeling and perspective is that safety should take the greater priority over convenience when it comes to using personal electronic technology, particularly when driving," AAA spokeswoman Nancy White said.
